APDR Response to the RRC (12/8/06)

Dear APDR Member,  

Below you will find the APDR response to the proposal changes in Program Requirements in Diagnostic Radiology. This was extensively discussed at our recent Board meeting at the RSNA and many members have contacted the Board. The overwhelming opinion expressed by the membership regarding the 1st year call issue is addressed in our response. We address the proposal and in fact suggest an alternative three pronged approach of teaching, testing and monitoring. We feel this covers the patient safety and competency issues that can apply to all programs.
